Cleveland Landmarks Commission Meetings
All meetings are held at 9:15am on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month in Room 514, City Hall.
Landmarks Commission and DRAC meeting schedule
Applicants can join the meeting in person or virtually. A link is provided to scheduled applicants before each meeting.
Projects are reviewed using the Secretary of Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation and receive a Certificate of Appropriateness when approved and conditions are met (if any).
Reach out to the Landmarks Commission office to request more information or get scheduled for an upcoming design review advisory committee (DRAC) meeting before your project goes to the Landmarks Commission.
Meeting Format
Under the conditions specified by law, the Cleveland Landmarks Commission will be conducting hybrid virtual/in-person meetings using the WebEx Platform and Room 514, City Hall.
The Landmarks Commission will also be live streamed on YouTube, link found at the bottom of the page.
To keep the WebEx session to a manageable size, contact the Landmarks Commission office by phone or email (email is preferred) to participate in advance of an upcoming meeting. Those individuals not planning to comment on any agenda item during the WebEx session are encouraged to view on the live stream.
To contact the Landmarks Commission office and request access to the WebEx Meeting email us at Landmarks@clevelandohio.gov. We ask that you include the name of the project or Case number you plan to comment on when requesting access to the WebEx meeting.
Public Comments
Any and all community members may provide their written comments, thoughts or questions regarding agenda items. Community members may also telephone their comments or questions to the Landmarks Office. All comments, thoughts or questions must be submitted to the Landmarks Office, by email, phone message, or mail no later than 48 hours before the start of the meeting at which an agenda item is scheduled.
Public comment or submissions made after the deadline will not be heard by the Commission. Public comment will be collected by Landmarks staff and sent to the Commission members for review prior to the scheduled meeting. Staff will summarize the received comments after the agenda item is presented. The applicant of the project is under no obligation to answer any community questions.
Public comment is allowed at Landmarks Commission meetings at the discretion of the Chair and any individual providing public comment is permitted two (2) minutes to speak to the agenda item in which they have an interest.
Public comment may be submitted for consideration by the Design Review Advisory Committees (DRAC) through the same process and 48-hour submission deadlines utilized by the Cleveland Landmarks Commission. There is no open public comment period in our DRAC meetings.
Landmarks Commission Agendas
Agendas for design review advisory committees (DRACs) can be found on their respective pages.
Projects generally are reviewed by a DRAC and receive a recommendation for the issuance of a Certificate of Appropriateness before they are scheduled for a Landmarks Commission agenda.
Meeting materials can be found at the link provided on each Landmarks Commission agenda. Questions about a scheduled project can be directed to the Landmarks Commission office.
Landmarks Commission Archive
Meeting minutes and agendas from past meetings are in the process of being digitized by the Cleveland Public Library. If you have questions about a meeting that cannot be found online, reach out to the Landmarks Commission office.

You can find all the recorded live streams from past Board and Commission meetings on the City Planning Commission YouTube Channel. Meetings for the Cleveland Landmarks Commission were live streamed on YouTube beginning May 2020.
