Designated Landmarks
Cleveland Landmarks Commission
The Cleveland Landmarks Commission is responsible for determining whether buildings, sites or historic districts are eligible for designation as landmarks. The Commission follows established standards listed in the Landmarks Ordinance and uses the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation to review proposed changes to designated properties and sites.
Designated Historic Districts
The City of Cleveland currently has 29 locally designated Historic Districts. These districts are distinctive for their architecture, historic, and/or cultural significance for Cleveland.
