Student Internship Program

The City of Cleveland's Internship Program aims to give students professional experience related to their major course of study while providing the unique opportunity of working with the Cleveland municipal government.

The program is designed for post-secondary students enrolled in college, trade school, or a vocational institution.

Most internships operate on a semester-by-semester basis, and opportunities are posted two to three (2 – 3) months prior to the start of each semester. (February/March for Summer Cohorts; June/July for Fall Cohorts; October/November for Spring Cohorts). Internships are paid and/or offer academic credit and/or experience.

Students who have recently graduated from an accredited high school or GED program and are currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary program are eligible for an internship with the City of Cleveland. This may include, but is not limited to, a two (2)-year Community College, Four (4)-year college/university, technical/trade school, or a postsecondary certificate program. Specific internships may have additional requirements, so please read over the descriptions that are posted.
