Data Analytics
The Data Analytics team works across departments to incorporate modern analytics and data best practices that improve efficiency and increase data-driven decision making. In 2024, the data team launched Cleveland’s first Open Data Portal, an online platform for proactively sharing information on City operations and services.

How We Work
We analyze data from sources across the city to create analytic tools that solve problems for staff.
We create data products and services to be shared publicly on the Open Data Portal.
We bring together data staff from different departments for training, sharing best practices, coaching, and collaborating.
We meet with local organizations to introduce the Open Data Portal and share different ways to use the data.

Why We Work
We empower departments to use data and evidence to effectively handle challenges and improve services for residents.
We increase trust and transparency in City operations through the proactive release of data and through training with local and data communities.
We incorporate modern data best practices to increase productivity and efficiency of data management and analytics.
