Things to Watch For:

Contract End Dates: When a fixed rate expires, you roll into NOPEC’s variable Standard Program Price unless you switch.
FAQs & Additional Tips
How Does Gas Aggregation Work?
NOPEC uses the combined purchasing power of member communities to negotiate better pricing with energy suppliers. This bulk-buying approach is meant to provide lower and more stable rates than individuals may receive on their own
If I Switch Gas Suppliers, How Long Will Changes Take?
Switching to or from a supplier, including opting in or out of NOPEC, typically takes one to two billing cycles to show up on your utility bill.
When My Contract Ends, What Happens?
When a fixed-rate contract ends, your service with NOPEC will default to their Standard Program Rate. Be sure to monitor expiration dates to avoid unexpected rate increases.
Someone Knocked On My Door, What Do I Do?
Some energy marketers impersonate utilities or show up unannounced with misleading claims. You are never required to make an immediate decision.
Always ask for identification, never share your utility account number unless you’re sure who you're dealing with, and contact PUCO or NOPEC if something feels off. NOPEC will never send representatives to your home for any reason.
What Is the Utility Company's Role?
Utility Responsibilities Remain the Same (who you pay monthly for natural gas): Even if you change suppliers, your utility (such as Enbridge) still handles billing, delivers your natural gas, maintains the pipelines, and responds to any service issues or emergencies.
