Mack, Clarence (architect)
Biography
Clarence Mack grew up on the west side of Cleveland. He never attended architectural school. His father and grandfather were builders. He served as his own contractor and lived in each of the houses that he designed. His homes were built in the Cleveland suburbs of Lakewood, Shaker Heights, and Rocky River. He designed the Charles King Residence, better known as Kingwood, in Mansfield. He often copied historical styles including the Georgian Revival (Adamesque). He furnished each house with period furnishings. He left Cleveland in 1935 for Palm Beach, Florida. His architectural drawings are maintained by the Cleveland Public Library George White Collection.

Lowe, Chester (architect)
Biography
Chester Lowe designed homes in Shaker Heights, Moreland Hills, and Pepper Pike. He lived at 1576 Belmore in East Cleveland, later moving to Bainbridge Township in Geauga County. He retired in 1978, when he moved to Winter Park, Florida.

Lougee, William (architect)
Biography
William S. Lougee was born in Buckfield, Maine and received his education in Boston. In 1884, at the age of seventeen, he went to work for architect Tristam Griffin and remained in that office for six years before moving to Cleveland. He was associated with Adolphus Sprackling in 1892 as the Cleveland Architectural Company. He had his own office in Cleveland in 1893. In 1895 he was working with George Steffens. He was associated with architect John Eisenmann until 1900. From 1901 to 1905 he was assistant architect for the Board of Education. On April 4, 1905 during the Mayoral administration of Tom L. Johnson he was appointed deputy inspector of buildings and on March 4, 1907 he was made the chief building inspector. He resigned his City position at the end of 1909 when Johnson left office, and he resumed a private practice. During the administration of Newton D. Baker (1912-5), he supervised the construction of Cleveland City Hall. He later became City Architect and Building Commissioner under the administration of Mayor Ray T. Miller (1932-3) .

Lorenz, Otto (architect)
Biography
Otto Lorenz is so far only known for one building, a notable commercial block at the corner of Mayfield and Murray Hill Roads. In 1914 when it was built, he was living at 4147 Broadway. The following year he had an office at 5412 Broadway and resided at 5778 Portage Avenue.
