Investigators have found no viable threats

CLEVELAND – The City of Cleveland, Division of Police is aware of social media posts and texts circulating regarding possible gang violence. These messages have been and continue to be investigated by the Division of Police as well as our local, state and federal partners including the Cleveland Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. At this time, no threat has been verified. No community meetings or community group meetings have been held on this subject by city leaders or with members of the Division of Police.

Although no credible threats have been verified through any of our law enforcement platforms, the Division of police reminds the public that all must remain vigilant and if suspicious behavior or criminal activity is seen or known of, that this activity is reported to law enforcement.
