Please expect traffic delays and pay attention to parking restrictions.
Traffic detail officers will be out across the city at lights and ramps helping people get where they are going safely.
Road Closures
The following road closure and parking information is subject to change as needed. Please check back for updates.
- Route 2 Westbound ramps will be closed at I-90. All other ramps to the Shoreway will be open in both directions. The following road closure and parking information is subject to change as needed. Please check back for updates.

- Alfred Lerner Way/Erieside will be closed from W 3rd to E 9th. There will still be access to the Great Lakes Science Center garage from W 3rd St.
- E 9th North of Erieside will be closed; both sides of E 9th Street from Erieside to the cul-de-sac will be a food truck zone.
- St. Clair and Lakeside will be a No Parking/No Stopping Zone from W 9th to E 9th.
- W 3rd, W 6th, and W 9th will be No Parking/No Stopping zones North from Superior.
- Huron and Prospect west of E 9th to Ontario will also be No Parking/No Stopping zones.
- W 25th from the Shoreway to Lorain will be a No Parking/No Stopping zone.
- W 25th from Clark to I-71 will be a No Parking/No Stopping zone. (hospital access)
- Euclid Ave from Chester to Mayfield will be a No Parking/No Stopping zone. (hospital access)

Public Parking & Municipal Lot Rules
Cleveland Municipal Lot - 1500 South Marginal Road
The Cleveland Municipal lot will open beginning at 5:00am. Each parker will be charged $50.00 per space. The lot will have port-johns and trash receptacles available for the convenience of parkers.
Tailgating rules and regulations will be in place for the protection and convenience of all patrons. Violation of these rules and regulations may result in fines and ejection from the premises. These rules are strictly enforced by the Cleveland Division of Police.
1. No open pit fires
2. No propane or charcoal grills
3. No alcohol
4. Saving spaces prohibited
5. You will be charged for all parking spaces you and your guest occupy
6. No in and out privileges
7. All litter must be dispensed in trash containers
8. Vandalism of any type will not be tolerated
9. Crossing the shore way is prohibited
10. No private latrines / portable restrooms
11. Lanes must remain clear of activity at all times.
12. Monthly parking card holders will utilize their monthly parking card
Customers with monthly parking cards will have access to the Municipal lot using their monthly parking card prior to noon.
Willard Garage and Surface Lot – 601 Lakeside Avenue
The Willard garage and surface lot will be open at 5:00am. The parking rate is $60.00. Overnight parking is prohibited. There will be no tailgating allowed in the garage or on the surface lot. Customers with monthly parking cards will be allowed to enter and exit the garage using their monthly parking card.
The Canal Parking lot – 1519 Merwin Avenue
The Canal Parking lot will be open and available for parking at the special event rate of $50.00 per space at 12:01 am April 8th. Parkers will be required to pay at one of the two pay stations conveniently located on the lot. Tailgating activities are permitted on this lot. The lot will have port-johns and trash receptacles available for the convenience of parkers.

Public Transit & Shared Mobility
Worried about traffic? Greater Cleveland RTA has you covered! RTA's rail and bus service connects across Cleveland, including to areas with planned solar eclipse programming like North Coast Harbor and University Circle. RTA's Waterfront Line will be running April 6, 7, and 8 from 9:30am to 5:27pm and offers an easy connection from Tower City in the heart of Downtown to North Coast Harbor and the Great Lakes Science Center. - Download the Transit App and select GCRTA to plan your trip from any starting point, pay your fare, and see real-time arrival information.
- Be sure to select RTA when purchasing fares via EZfare in the Transit app. All Day passes are $5.

- If you need assistance, call the Community Connection Line at 216-621-9500. It is staffed Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-6 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Scooter & Bike Safety
- Riding a bike or scooter is a great way to get around the city and access special events.
- Drivers should keep an extra eye out for bicyclists and pedestrians. Drive slowly and carefully, especially in congested areas.
- Riders should keep in mind these safety tips: Follow all traffic laws. Ride in the road, not on the sidewalks. Ride predictably. Don't swerve in and out of traffic. Wear a helmet. If it is your first time riding a scooter, find a safe spot away from cars and other hazards to practice before beginning your trip.
- Bike and scooter share is currently available from two companies in Cleveland: Bird and Lime.
- Be aware of scooter no-ride zones and preferred parking areas around large event centers like Progressive Field and North Coast Harbor.
- In the coming days, the City's webpage will feature maps of bike rack locations and Downtown no-ride zones and preferred parking areas to help you plan your trips.
