July 3, 2025 — Cleveland — The City of Cleveland Department of Public Works will extend the hours of several recreation centers to serve as cooling centers for Cleveland residents that are seeking shelter from the warm temperatures expected in the coming days.

Zelma George Neighborhood Resource & Recreation Center: 3155 Martin L. King Blvd.
Collinwood Neighborhood Resource & Recreation Center: 16300 Lakeshore Blvd.
Gunning Neighborhood Resource & Recreation Center: 16700 Puritas Ave.
Kovacic Neighborhood Resource & Recreation Center: 6250 St. Clair Ave.
Michael Zone Neighborhood Resource & Recreation Center: 6301 Lorain Ave.
Frederick Douglass Neighborhood Resource & Recreation Center: 15401 Miles Ave.
Each site will have comfort areas for residents and filtered water fountains.

All available outdoor pools will be open on Friday, July 4, Saturday, July 5, and Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 12:00p.m. – 7:45p.m.
All available spray parks / basins will be in operation any day of the week when the temperature is 80 degrees or higher.
Admission to all City pools and access to the full range of the City’s Summer Programming is completely free. Residents are encouraged to participate in these program, which include a diverse array of activities in the areas of art, education, sports, health and wellness, leadership, and career readiness.
