Health Literacy: Understanding Your Care
Health information can be confusing—especially when you’re dealing with a new diagnosis, procedure, medication, or follow-up appointment. Asking questions is an important part of taking charge of your health.
CDPH’s Health Literacy: Understanding My Care booklet gives patients practical questions to ask before, during, and after a health care visit so they can better understand their care and make confident decisions.
