Division of Printing and Reproduction

The Division of Printing and Reproduction was established in 1952 to provide printing services to the City of Cleveland. 

The Division of Printing utilizes state-of-the-art design, reprographic and mailing systems to ensure documents are printed to specifications and delivered on time and within budget. It is a full-service shop that can assume undivided responsibility for a job – from design concept to delivery. 

The Division of printing for producing more than six million documents and processing nearly two million pieces of mail annually for more than 75 City departments, divisions, boards, bureaus, the Mayor’s Office, Council, and Cleveland Municipal Court.

Achievements and Recognition

The City of Cleveland is the first municipality in the country to obtain certification by the Sustainable Green Printer Partnership (SGP). SGP is a non-profit organization providing sustainability certification in the graphic communication industry. 

SGP certification validation of the City’s considerable efforts to ensure the health and safety of its workers, the cost-effectiveness of its operations, and the responsible use of resources. Certification informs workers and the public alike that the City of Cleveland is committed to continuous improvement, accountability, and transparency.

Our Mission

Sustainability at the Division of Printing and Reproduction is a dynamic process of research, self-examination, and improvement. The Division of Printing and Reproduction will continually seek new opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of its operation.

Our Commitments

The Division of Printing and Reproduction is committed to integrating environmental, health & safety (EHS) and sustainability matters into all business activities. We do so by adhering to the following:

  • When feasible, utilizing materials, derived from renewable resources or low environmental impact resources and to maximize our recycling program.
  • Mitigating or preventing pollution through reduction, reuse and recycling.
  • Making practical and effective use of innovative green products techniques and technologies.
  • Encouraging energy conservation.
  • Monitor and maintain all environmental health and safety requirements with continuous improvement including all areas of the business. Our goal is to promote a safe and healthy work environment for our employees through strict compliance to all applicable regulatory and voluntary industry standards.
  • Communicating our commitments to our sustainability performance, health and safety initiatives and environmental impacts with open dialog with our employees, vendors, customers and community. We will solicit their input in achieving our goals and in turn will offer assistance in meeting theirs.
  • Educating City of Cleveland Employees about the Division of Printing and Reproduction's sustainability policy and procedures.
