Overview

Fiscal Administration provides fiscal and administrative services for the Division.  For our assessments function, we allocate cost connected to a public improvement benefitting parties pursuant to State and local laws. Timely and accurately, certify all assessments to the County. Prepare, support and administer special assessments, special improvement districts (SIDs) and energy projects.   

Activities 

Special Improvement Districts - Assist in the establishment of SIDs that contribute to economic development and quality of life activities throughout the City. Work cooperatively with community development corporation leaders and city officials to establish, renew, support and provide funding to SIDs. Neighborhoods with SIDs include: Downtown, Gordon Square, Ohio City, Kamm's Corner, and Superior Arts.

Special Energy Improvement Projects - Work cooperatively with developers, leaders, city officials to establish, support and provide funding to special energy improvement projects.

Allocate cost pursuant to State and local statutes, account for payments of various assessments, sidewalks, vacant properties, board-up, demolition, etc. Other activities include service of legal notices and street vacations.
