Digital Plan Room

Introduction

The City of Cleveland is proud to offer electronic plan submission and review through the Digital Plan Room. This application is fully integrated with the Permit Portal. Using a digital solution saves customer time and money by eliminating the need to print and submit plans at City Hall. Features like automated sheet versioning and color-coded mark-ups from different review bodies on the same page make understanding issues easy and straightforward. Final, stamped PDF permits are available for download from your home or office.

• Files must be in PDF format, with a minimum 300 dpi resolution.
• File names should not be longer than 100 characters and should not include any spaces or special characters.
• Include a table of contents page or 'create bookmarks' in AutoCAD when exporting/publishing to the PDF. Without a table of contents, you will need to manually add sheet titles after upload.
• Do not include supporting documents in the same PDF file with any plan sheets. Supporting documents must be uploaded as separate files.
• Plans should be generated to a set scale (e.g. ¼” = 1’, 1/8” = 1’ or 1:10).
• Plans should be in landscape orientation with page numbering at the lower right corner of each sheet.
• For resubmittals, only submit the revised plan sheets. All sheets must have the same page names, numbers, orientation, and scale as the original submittal.
