The purpose of this meeting is to provide important information about the upcoming construction project on Carnegie Avenue

Where: The City Mission 5310 Carnegie Ave., Bldg A Cleveland, OH 44103

TIMELINE:

• Design completed: Fall 2025
• Construction begins: August 2026
• Construction complete: Summer 2027

PROJECT NEED:
We're making changes to Carnegie Avenue to address traffic safety concerns and improve the condition of the roadway.

PROPOSED CHANGES:

• Complete asphalt resurfacing
• Upgrade non-compliant curb ramps to meet accessibility standards
• Replace curbs, sidewalks, and driveway aprons as needed
• Replace existing water main from East 9th Street to East 14th Street
• Realign Prospect Avenue intersection to improve pedestrian safety
• Upgrade signals, new traffic control signs and pavement markings

CONSTRUCTION COST: $8.2 Million Awarded to Terrace Construction

Estimated Cost: $12 million 
Funding Sources: Ohio Public Works Commission-Issue 1, City Road & Bridge Bonds and Public Utility Funds
