Rev. Shameka Jones Taylor Biography

Rev. Shameka Jones Taylor is a seasoned financial professional with 20 years of experience managing budgets for the City of Cleveland.

In 2018, she became the Chief Operating Officer at Saint Martin de Porres High School, overseeing the Corporate Work Study Program. Her achievements include being named a Woman of Note by Crain’s Cleveland Business Magazine in 2021 and graduating from the Leadership Cleveland Class of 2023.

Rev. Taylor holds a B.A. and an M.B.A. from Baldwin-Wallace University, as well as a Master of Divinity from Payne Theological Seminary. Ordained as an Itinerant Elder in the A.M.E. Church in 2018, she has served as a pastor in various churches.

Active in the community, she serves on multiple boards and volunteers for civic and religious organizations. Dedicated to faith and service, she is inspired by her life motto from Luke 12:48.
