Department of Finance

The following are the Finance Department's main objectives:

  • Maintain an appropriate financial base to deliver an effective level of City services
  • Collect, tax revenue and report the expenditure of public funds in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code and Codified Ordinances of Cleveland
  • Uphold a respected credit rating in the financial community and assure taxpayers that the City of Cleveland is well managed by using prudent financial management
  • Provide financial support to all City Departments.

This Department is comprised of thirteen divisions. Finance Administration supervises the activities of each of them, helping to maintain a high-level of efficiency, productivity and professionalism.

  • Monthly Keycard Payments for City Parking Lots Can Now be Done Online

    Monthly Keycard payments can be paid online for parking at the Gateway East Garage, Lakefront Municipal Parking, and Willard Park Garage. There is a convenience fee associated. 

  • MBE/FBE/Small Business Open Houses

    On the first Tuesday of every month from 10:00am to 12:00pm the City of Cleveland’s Division of Purchasing and Supplies hosts a virtual open house for minority-owned, female-owned and Cleveland small businesses. The purpose of these open houses is to educate attendees on how to compete for City business. Vendors may attend the meeting virtual (Via WebEx) or by coming to Cleveland City Hall, Room 128. Contact the Division of Purchasing and Supplies to request how you wish to attend the meeting. Space is limited for in office attendance and will be on a first come first serve basis.
