UOCAVA absentee ballots must be received (by mail) by boards of elections by this date to be counted. |

Register to Vote
To vote, you must be a United States citizen and a resident of Ohio. You must be at least 18 years old on or before Election Day.
If you turn 18 after the deadline but before Election Day, you can still register to vote. But you still need to register by the deadline.
You must register at least 30 days before any primaries or general elections.

- If you do not have any of the above information you can go to this website. Once you complete this form, you must sign and send it to your county board of elections
- What you’ll need to register
- Complete your registration using your Ohio driver's license or state ID number, name, date of birth, address, and the last four digits of your Social Security number.

- The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections office.
- Any BMV location when updating or renewing your driver's license or state ID.
- Public libraries, public high schools, and other designated locations.

Find Your Polling Location
You have to vote at the location designated by your address. After registering, you will receive a notice with the address where you will vote. You can find your voting place here. Make sure you're registered to vote at the address you're looking for. Please remember your ward and precinct numbers.

Election Day Information
Polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Make sure to bring a valid form of identification.
There are several types of valid photo identification.
- Ohio driver's license;
- State of Ohio ID card;
- Interim ID form issued by the Ohio BMV;
- A US passport;
- A US passport card;
- US military ID card;
- Ohio National Guard ID card; or
- US Department of Veterans Affairs ID card
All photo IDs must have the following:
- An expiration date that has not passed;
- A photograph of the voter;
- The voter’s name, which must substantially conform to the voter’s name as it appears in the Poll List or in the Poll Book
NOTICE: An unexpired Ohio Driver License, State ID Card, or Interim Documentation with your former address IS an ACCEPTABLE form of ID when your current address is in the pollbook.
State of Ohio Voter Identification Requirements
