Walsh, Travis G.
Biography
Travis Gower Walsh was born in Winthrop, Massachusetts. He attended Harvard Business School and graduated from the Boston School of Design. He came to Cleveland in 1921 to become the design architect for the Cleveland school district. In 1925 he formed the firm of Maier and Walsh, that became Maier, Walsh & Dickerson after World War II. He was listed as a registered architect in the November 1940 Ohio Architect. In 1950 the firm became Travis Walsh & Associates. He joined the Army Air Corps in 1942, rising to the rank of lieutenant colonel. He was a member of the Harvard Alumni Club, the American Institute of Architects, the Singers Club, the Cleveland Heights Lion's Club, the University Club, the Hermit Club, the New England Society of the Western Reserve, the Western Reserve Historical Society, and the American Legion. He retired in 1970.
