By acting as the main point of contact for politics and policy—federal, state, county, local, international, and labor—Government Affairs keeps Cleveland's interests at the forefront of the issues that affect it. Its mission is to tackle the pressing issues head-on, positioning Cleveland right where it belongs: at the center of impactful discussions and decisions that shape our city's future.
Government Affairs:
- Works with City Council to pass legislation.
- Pursues the Mayor's policy agenda through proactive planning and strategic implementation.
- Grows relationships at every level of government to better advocate for Cleveland and ensure Cleveland’s voice is heard on every stage.
- Oversees the Mayor's appointment to the boards and commissions that oversee many City functions.
