Biography

Carl Foster White was the Cleveland-born only son of industrialist Henry White. He graduated from University School in 1899 and from Cornell University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1905. He married Olivia Packard of Warren. Upon returning to Cleveland he formed a partnership with Harry Shupe, under the name White & Shupe. He was a member of the Union Club, Euclid Club, the McKinley Lodge of Masonic Order, and the Secretary of the Cleveland Association of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
