Holiday Food Basket
At Michael Zone Recreation Center on Lorain Avenue, the Cleveland Foodbank on South Waterloo Road, and the Zelma George Recreation Center on Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, hundreds of volunteers gathered at each of location in the City of Cleveland to help fill more than 2,200 holiday food baskets for Cleveland families in need. Many volunteers loaded up trucks to help deliver food baskets to Cleveland residents and an additional 800 families received grocery gift cards.
This marks the 26th year of the Mayor’s Food Basket, which is generously supported by individuals, local businesses and City of Cleveland employees. The Mayor’s Food Basket Give-Away is the largest annual food giveaway in Cuyahoga County and helps to feed thousands of Cleveland families each year.
