Halloween Run for Justice

Mayor Frank G. Jackson gave rousing remarks to kick-off the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Foundation’s 15th Annual Halloween Run for Justice held in downtown Cleveland at the Burke Lakefront Airport on North Marginal Road. The Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Foundation’s annual run support programs and services in the greater Cleveland and East Cleveland communities.

The hard work, dedication and commitment the Foundation provides, support Cleveland’s 3Rs: Rights, Responsibilities, Realities Program based in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) and contribute a great deal to educating youth. The 3Rs program recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, which is a landmark program connecting lawyers, judges, law students, and paralegals with high school students in Cleveland and East Cleveland schools.

In collaboration with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Downtown Cleveland Alliance, Burke Lakefront Airport, Hermes Sports and other supporting agencies in Cleveland, this family-friendly event featured something for everyone to enjoy. This year’s route showcased spectacular views of downtown Cleveland’s venues, redeveloped and revitalized areas along with landscaped sceneries incorporated within the 5-Mile, 5K and 1-Mile runs and 5K and 1-Mile walk courses. In addition, participants were motivated by the Cavs’ Scream Team, Spirit Squad and Moondog along with hundreds of spectators cheering in the crowd. This Halloween fun run also included fun activities and a costume contest as well as special prizes donated by the Cavs.
