Sustainable Cleveland 2019

The 8th Annual Sustainable Cleveland Summit, themed The “Year of Sustainable Transportation”, included pre-summit events for day one which featured an Alternative Fuel Vehicle Ride-N-Drive and Showcase event and a ribbon cutting event launching the University Hospital’s (UH) Bikes Cleveland Bike Share program held outside on the East Mall Drive between the Public Auditorium and New Convention Center on Lakeside Avenue.

The afternoon of Wednesday, September 21st, Mayor Frank G. Jackson and Chief of Sustainability Jenita McGowan welcomed back local business and non-profit leaders, government officials, community members, students and educators to the eighth annual Sustainable Cleveland 2019 Summit held at the Cleveland Public Auditorium. Day one also included a presentation of awards, interactive workshop and this year’s keynote speaker Gil (Guillermo) Penalosa, MBA, PhDhc, CSP, Founder & Chair of the Board, 8 80 Cities Chair of the Board, World Urban Parks. This event was held at the Cleveland Public Auditorium on Lakeside Avenue in Cleveland.
