Chief Assistant Prosecutor
On Thursday, June 2, 2016, Mayor Frank G. Jackson administered the oath of office to Kimberly Barnett-Mills, who will serve as the City of Cleveland’s Chief Assistant Prosecutor for the Department of Law. She has most recently served as Interim Chief Assistant Prosecutor for the City of Cleveland. In 2006, Ms. Barnett-Mills was appointed First Assistant Prosecutor in the City’s Prosecutor’s Office and has also served as Assistant Public Defender for Cuyahoga County and as an attorney with The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. She has over 15 years of legal experience, is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and History and a graduate of Cleveland-Marshall School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctorate Degree. In addition, family members and friends were in attendance at Chief Assistant Prosecutor Barnett-Mills’ swearing in ceremony.
