Statement on Rice Settlement

On Monday, April 25, 2016, Mayor Frank G. Jackson addressed media on the Tamir Rice settlement at Cleveland City Hall in the Mayor’s Red Room. “As you know, the City of Cleveland has entered into a settlement with the family and Estate of Tamir Rice. This has been a difficult time….difficult for the Rice Family and difficult for the City of Cleveland and our community. And while we have settled this legal process for $6 million, there is no price that one can put on the life of a 12 year old.”
