Traffic Advisory: Fleet Avenue Rehabilitation Project

Work Zone Revision: Independence Road to Broadway Avenue

CLEVELAND – Beginning Monday, December 14, at 7:00 AM, the contractor of the Fleet Avenue Rehabilitation Project will revise the work zone to allow unrestricted eastbound and westbound traffic on Fleet Avenue from East 49th Street to Broadway Avenue. The traffic zone revision will remain in place until April 1, 2016 with the exception of East 53rd Street, which is scheduled to be closed to traffic in January 2016 to allow the construction of the NEORSD stormwater facility.

Advance notice signs will be posted to advise Fleet traffic of construction. Access to all driveways will be maintained during this phase of the project. The Fleet Avenue Rehabilitation Project will reconstruct 1.03 miles of Fleet Avenue from Independence Road to East 65th Street and will resurface Fleet Avenue from East 65th Street to Broadway Avenue. The project construction will also include streetscape improvements and a NEORSD stormwater facility. The entire project is scheduled for completion by July 2016.
