News Advisory: Mayor Jackson to Rededicate Portion of Lamontier Avenue in Honor of Bishop Floyd E. Perry

CLEVELAND – Today at 2:00 pm, Mayor Frank G. Jackson will rededicate a portion of Lamontier Avenue from Martin Luther King Drive to Woodhill Road as “Bishop F.E. Perry Way” in recognition of Bishop Floyd E. Perry. Bishop Perry was the leader of the Cathedral Church of God in Christ and the second vice president of the Cleveland Chapter of the NAACP. Bishop Perry passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015. He was 84-years-old.

"Bishop F.E. Perry was a true leader, Man of God and, most of all, he was my friend,” said Mayor Frank G. Jackson. “Bishop Perry will be missed by me personally, the Church of God in Christ, his congregation and Clevelanders overall."
