Mayor Jackson Swears-In Frank Williams as Interim Commissioner of the Division of Streets

CLEVELAND – Today, Mayor Frank G. Jackson administered the oath of office to Frank Williams, who will serve as the city’s new Interim Commissioner of the Division of Streets. This position manages the operations of the Division of Streets, which includes street repair, street cleaning, illegal dumping, snow removal, graffiti removal, and guard rail repair.

Mr. Williams has more than 14 years of progressively responsible experience in multi-site, multi-disciplined management within both public and private sectors. Mr. Williams has led teams through start up, new process implementation and development as well as turnaround modes. He has been with the City of Cleveland for more than eight years and currently serves as Administrative Manager for the Division of Streets where he oversees several programs including snow and ice control, local resurfacing and street repair, street sweeping, asphalt recycling, and debris removal.

Prior to his role as Administrative Manager in the Division of Streets, Mr. Williams served the City of Cleveland as a Radio Operator, Accident & Safety Inspector, and apprentice of the Assistant Commissioner of the Division of Street Maintenance. Mr. Williams is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from American Public University.
