Drinking Water Week

National Drinking Water Week for the City of Cleveland was held at the Garrett Morgan Water Treatment Plant on West 45th Street in Cleveland to celebrate water as an important substance on earth and to highlight the need for clean and safe water.

The National Drinking Water Week Open House is an opportunity to educate the public about the importance of drinking water, its vital role in daily life, and its many uses as a natural resource. The public enjoyed free tours of the water treatment plant provided to increase public awareness and appreciation for the many uses of the water supply. Other activities included face painting for children in attendance.
