Human Trafficking Education
The City of Cleveland Community Relations Board partnered with Collaborative Initiative to End Human Trafficking held a forum on human trafficking to promote awareness and provide information on what human trafficking is; how to recognize human trafficking situations; and what people can do to stop it and help victims. This forum was held in the City of Cleveland’s Division of Police Third District at the Broadway Boys and Girls Club on Broadway Avenue in Cleveland.
The program was free and open to the public and included a presentation by the Collaborative Initiative to End Human Trafficking Minister Linda Jaramillo, Executive Ministries for Justice and Witness of the United Church of Christ, the City of Cleveland Public Safety Division of Police Third District Commander and the Community Policing Department. Attendees also had an opportunity to speak with other service providers.
The organizations partnering with the City of Cleveland for this event included the Domestic Violence and Advocacy Center Bellefaire JCB Homeless youth Program, Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, and the Renee Jones Empowerment Center.
