City of Cleveland Congratulates Villa Angela - St. Joseph High School Boys

Mayor Frank G. Jackson and Councilman Michael Polensek (Ward 8) congratulated the Villa Angela - St. Joseph High School Boys Basketball Teams for their accomplishments and for becoming the 2014 - 2015 Ohio State Basketball Champions during this year’s basketball season.

Led by Coach Babe Kwasniak, the win gives the Villa Angela-St. Joe’s Vikings six state championships, tying them with St. Vincent—St. Mary for second place all-time in Ohio. Villa Angela-St. Joseph also becomes the only school to win a state championship in all four divisions. The Vikings eight senior players will graduate having won two.
