St. Adalbert Ribbon Cutting
The Fairfax neighborhood’s St. Adalbert School cut the ribbon on its new Cletus Jeckering Early Childhood Learning Center on Aug. 20 after a strong capital campaign, which raised $5 million for the facility and $2 million for curriculum enhancements. The Learning Center is home to 9 classrooms, a cafeteria and a playground, and will serve students from Pre-K through 2nd grade. During the ribbon cutting ceremony, those in attendance heard from Mayor Frank G. Jackson as well as St. Adalbert Pastor Father Gary Chmura, Campus President Jim Smith, Councilman Blaine Griffin, Tom Jeckering and Bishop Nelson Perez.
