LGBT Heritage Day
Mayor Frank G. Jackson joined elected officials, community leaders and residents in the City Hall Rotunda to celebrate the 10th Annual LGBT Heritage Day.
The celebration honored those who have made great strides in the LGBTQ community in the areas of public service, workplace inclusion, health and wellness, advocacy and activism, and arts and culture. During the event, Mayor Jackson appointed three employees to serve as LGBTQ liaisons for the city and announced that the city received a score of 100 on the HRC Municipality Equality Index Scale which measures inclusivity laws, policies and services that support LGBTQ individuals.
