Year of Vital Neighborhoods
Mayor Frank G. Jackson’s Office of Sustainability kicked off its 2018 Year of Vital Neighborhoods with an event in the Cleveland City Hall Rotunda.
Since its 2009 inception, Sustainable Cleveland 2019 has held a celebration each year to mark a new sustainability initiative. This year’s theme, the Year of Vital Neighborhoods, will set the stage for the entire year, with a focus on neighborhood-level collaboration and action on a variety of issues – trees, water quality, active transportation, climate change, local food, vacant land use and more.
Clevelanders can learn more here about how to get involved in this year’s events – including neighborhood workshops that will connect residents to organizations building a sustainable Cleveland.
