Civilian Police Review Board
The CPRB is comprised of 9 members. The Mayor appoints five members and the City Council appoints the remaining four members.
In an effort to be representative of all of Cleveland’s diverse communities, each of the police districts is represented by at least one member who resides in that district. Additionally, at least one member of the Board is between the ages of 18 and 30 at the time of appointment.
As required by the Charter of Cleveland, no member of the Board is employed currently as a law enforcement officer and no member is a current or former employee of the Cleveland Division of Police.
The CPRB has a full-time employee, a Private Secretary, to handle the administrative duties of the Board
