Pipeline Infrastructure Improvements Update
CLEVELAND – On Monday, September 30, 2019 north bound traffic street closure will be in place for 10 days on East 49th Street from Barkwill Avenue to Broadway Avenue.
The road closure is required in order to make road repairs to the concrete pavement above the Dominion gas pipeline in the northbound lane.
A detour plan with signage is:
- North bound traffic on East 49th Street will be routed east onto Barkwill Avenue, then north onto Broadway Avenue.
- Southbound traffic along East 49th Street from Broadway Avenue will continue east to Barkwill Avenue, then south onto East 49th Street.
- Access to side streets along East 49th Street will only be available by traveling south on East 49th Street.
The City anticipates that East 49th Street will reopen to traffic on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, weather permitting.
