City of Cleveland Now Taking Applications for Recreation Center Seasonal Work
CLEVELAND – The City of Cleveland’s Division of Recreation is now accepting applications for seasonal job opportunities at the City’s Neighborhood Resource & Recreation Centers (NRRCs). Those interested are encouraged to apply online at governmentjobs.com/careers/cleveland by March 31, 2020. Seasonal job openings include:
- Park and Maintenance Aides
- Play Directors
- Recreation Instructors
- Showagon
- Student Aides
- Baseball Scorers
- Camp Counselors
- Lifeguards and Captains
Lifeguard applicants must be at least 15 years old. For all other positions, applicants must be at least 18 years old.
City of Cleveland seasonal jobs provide an opportunity for youth and young adults to work in their communities in a safe and welcoming environment. They are part of Mayor Frank G. Jackson’s efforts to restructure the City’s 22 NRRCs to offer more holistic programming to better address youth violence as a public health issue. NRRCs offer enhanced intergenerational programming and resources to create greater opportunity for residents, especially youth young adults. In addition to traditional sports activities, programs also include digital literacy classes, peer groups, career counseling and more.
