Cleveland Police Officer Suspended

CLEVELAND – Director of Public Safety, Michael McGrath and Cleveland Police Chief Calvin D. Williams announce that Patrol Officer William Tell was indicted today in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court on multiple felony charges including Menacing by Stalking, Intimidation of a Crime Victim, Abduction, Bribery and Unauthorized Use of Property.

Patrol Officer William Tell, 49, was relieved from duty and will remain suspended without pay pending the adjudication of the criminal charges. Tell was hired in August of 1999 and was most recently assigned to the Bureau of Traffic.
